The state TV system SERTV and the La Mitra committee signed an agreement to broadcast the 33rd National Folklore Festival. From March 26-29, the event will be covered across all platforms to preserve and promote Panama's cultural heritage.


SERTV to provide national coverage for the La Mitra Folklore Festival

The State Radio and Television System (SERTV) and the Civic and Cultural Committee of La Mitra from La Chorrera have signed a cooperation agreement to promote and broadcast the 33rd edition of the National Folklore Festival of La Mitra. From March 26 to 29, 2026, La Mitra in La Chorrera will become the epicenter of national traditions. The festival's communication strategy includes exclusive interviews in news programs and special programming on Nacional FM and Crisol FM radio stations. This festival strengthens the protection of the vernacular customs of various provinces, aiming to keep folklore alive for future generations. By signing this agreement, SERTV reaffirms its institutional mission by committing to the mass dissemination of the festivities.
